Cloud accounting software for Singapore businesses

Nexquado is a cloud accounting platform built for companies registered and operating in Singapore. Record transactions, raise invoices, prepare GST returns, and hand your accountant a clean audit trail without exporting spreadsheets or mailing PDFs. A director in Raffles Place and a bookkeeper working from home see the same ledger at the same time.

Why owners start here

Start with the job you actually need to finish

Most owners arrive with one task in mind: file the quarter's GST, close the year, or get invoices out on time. Nexquado is organised the same way. You do not configure a chart of accounts from scratch before you can send a bill. Create your company record, set your GST registration status, and the core structure is ready.

Sole proprietors, private limited companies, and partnerships all use the same workspace, but the default tax settings differ. A Pte Ltd sees GST fields; a non-registered sole proprietor does not. That single decision removes most of the mis-posting that shows up later at filing time.

Company record

  • Entity type Sole proprietor, private limited, or partnership — each sets its own default tax fields.
  • GST registration status Switches the GST report and input tax fields on or off for your filing period.
  • Accounting period Group transactions by your own year-end, not by the calendar year.
  • Currency and invoice terms Singapore dollar by default; payment terms carried onto every sales invoice.

Daily work

What the platform covers day to day

The daily work is the part most accounting software makes tedious, so it is the part we built around. Every entry keeps its own history: who created it, when, and what changed. If your accountant queries a figure six months later, the answer is already in the record.

Purchase and expense entry, including recurring supplier bills
Bank transaction import with matching against existing entries
GST reports in the IRAS-expected format for the filing period
Profit and loss, balance sheet, and general ledger views

Audit trail

Every entry records its author and timestamp, and edits keep the earlier value. When a figure is questioned, the answer is in the file rather than in someone's inbox.

Built for the Singapore filing calendar

GST returns, annual returns, and the year-end close follow a fixed rhythm

Grouped by your accounting period, not the calendar year, so a non-December year-end needs no re-sorting before filing.
Taxable supplies, exempt supplies, and input tax listed in the categories your GST filing expects.
You review the figures, adjust if needed, and pass them to whoever submits on your behalf.
We do not file directly with IRAS on your behalf. The platform prepares the figures and keeps the supporting detail behind them.

Multi-user by default

An accounting file that only one person can open is a bottleneck every month-end

Nexquado accounts are shared from the start. Your bookkeeper, your director, and an external accountant can all hold access at the same time, with permissions set per role.

External accountant Typically read access plus the ability to add journals, so adjustments never alter your source documents.
Internal staff Might enter expenses without approval rights on payments.
Director Reviews reports and approves, without handling day-to-day entry.
Access changes Take effect immediately — which matters when someone leaves the company or an engagement ends.

See it before you commit

Open a Nexquado workspace with sample data and walk through invoicing, bank matching, and a GST report before entering a single real transaction. Nothing about the trial requires a call with sales.

When you do want to talk, our Singapore team handles plan questions, migration from desktop files, and setup for companies with more than one entity.

Working with your accountant

One ledger, three people, no exported spreadsheet

Bookkeeping

You record sales, purchases, and expenses through the month. Bank imports match against entries you already made, so reconciling takes minutes rather than an evening.

Year-end handover

Invite your accountant with the role that suits the engagement. They work in the same file, add journals where needed, and leave your source documents untouched.

Export when you need it

Ledgers, invoices, and reports export before a subscription ends. We recommend exporting at least once a year regardless, so your records are not dependent on any single system.

The report is prepared; the submission stays yours

The platform lists taxable supplies, exempt supplies, and input tax in the categories your filing expects, with the transaction detail kept behind every figure. You or your tax agent review the report and submit the return through the official channel.

Because transactions are grouped by accounting period, a company with a June or September year-end files without re-sorting anything. The same structure carries into the annual return and the year-end close.

Questions owners ask

Straight answers before you decide

If your situation is not covered here, our Singapore team can walk through it with you during working hours.

Do I need accounting knowledge to use Nexquado?

You need to understand your own business, not debits and credits. The software handles double-entry posting in the background, and the reports are labelled in plain terms. Many owners run their own bookkeeping and hand the file to an accountant at year-end.

Can my accountant access my Nexquado account?

Yes. You can invite them as a user with a role that suits the engagement. Most accountants take read access plus journal entry permission, which lets them make adjustments without altering your source documents.

Does Nexquado file my GST return with IRAS?

No. The platform prepares the GST report and keeps the transaction detail behind it. You or your tax agent review the figures and submit the return through the official channel.

What happens to my data if I stop subscribing?

You can export your ledgers, invoices, and reports before the subscription ends. We recommend exporting at least once a year regardless, so your records are not dependent on any single system.
